precious thing for me

one of my most precious things is a gift form my best friend in china. that is a glass bottle contained the mod from the feet of the Great Wall. he also covered the mod with a piece of chinese national flag. he gave me these right before i came to america. he said the reaosn why he gave me this was telling me i was a chinese, and always be.
maybe you can notice, i was using present tense to describe the whole thing, because i didnt really lose it, but at the same time i couldnt bring it to america. it is now sitting right on my cabinet in beijing. i do miss it, because it's not only representing my home country but also the friendship between us.
there are always something improtant for us, but the reason why they are important is not because of the value of them, but the meaning comes from them. once we lost those, the first thing we would do should be finding a substitution of that. for me, i just remember im always a chinese and always save a place for him in my heart.

The first thing I’d like to do is to treasure the time with you.

Onegin

So far, in the book Onegin by Pushkin, the author provide us a specific idea about what our protagonist is. but in another hand, he also give us a space of imagination, he didn't tell us what he looks like nor what the society was.
From the beginning, we noticed that our protagonist always acting like a rich man, but the truth is he's father owned a lot of money from others, and he just died. Onegin succeed everything from his dad, so do the debt. but he still tried to acting like a rich man.
Also, Onegin is the kind of people who really interested in woman.

So, from the start, we find our protagonist is not the kind of super hero or super good man we used to read in other books. But if the story keeps telling us how bad he is it will loss its value. In my own opinion, the story will talk about how our protagonist changed in the future.

time travel

nTime traveling is an idea about moving from one point of time to another point of time.

nWe are all living in a natural law of time: second by second. So time travelling can also mean breaking this natural law: travel from now to somewhere in the past or future.

nEinstein: an German American scientist. In his concept, we meet the idea about real time travelling.

nBefore the principle of relativity the time travelling only exists in novels.

nIn principle of relativity, Einstein gave us an example: if there have two people A and B. A went to south America from NYC by Airplane, and then came back. The time on A’s watch will be different from B’s watch.

The reason why it will happen is, based on principle of relativity, the physical speed can change the speed of time. if we can reach half of the speed of light, the time will go 13% slower than now.

nHere has another example:

nAssume there has a pair of twinborn brothers: Sam and Bob. One day, Sam went to somewhere was 10 light-years away from Earth by a spaceship at speed of 99% of light’s speed. Sam returned as soon as he got to that place. The whole trip would took him about 3 years, but on earth, it would be already 20 years later when he came back.

In another word, after the trip, Bob became 17 years older than Sam. They could never twins anymore. Or, actually we can say, Sam time travelled to the future.

 

 

reflection of slaughterhouse V

in this book it told about a story of the narrator (he made a avatar of himself in the book. i'm really sure that the protagonist in the book is the narrater) who suffered the worst bombing in europe during the second world war.
in this book,the best part is the protagonist can time travel to somewhere in time which he had same emotion.
even though this book should be a serious novel there still have a lot of black humour in it: every time when somebody or something died, the narrator will say: so it goes. for him, death is a really common thing.
any way. the story give people a awful feeling about wars. some people even says the book helps stoping the Vietnam War.

reflection on Ch. 43 to 81 of Tao

Tao De Jing is the first complete philosophy book in Chinese History, or even in the World History. In this book, it proposes people should live in a balance of everything. For example, we shouldn’t be angry or happy; we should be feeling normal everyday. Also, it shows a way of how to rule a country for leaders. In ruling countries, it proposes that if the leader can make his people have nothing to do, he would be the best leader. In philosophy side, it says everything has two extreme sides, and whenever we reach one of the extremes, it will go to the opposite way.
This book changed Chinese people’s mind for 2,000 years. The things were taught from the book was used by the emperors in every dynasty.

reflection on Ch. 2 of Tao

Everything or every concept we can find, just because they have comparisons. Just like the beauty and ugly. But there has no extreme in any kind of concept, because once it reached its extreme, the next thing had to happen would be going to the opposite side. Because nothing can least forever, a wise man will just watch the change of everything without creating anything. A wise man will do things without he’s own emotion. A wise man won’t hold the success he made forever; he will leave it where he made it. Because a wise man don’t care the successes he made, without comparison, there has no fail in he’s life.
