reflection on Ch. 43 to 81 of Tao

Tao De Jing is the first complete philosophy book in Chinese History, or even in the World History. In this book, it proposes people should live in a balance of everything. For example, we shouldn’t be angry or happy; we should be feeling normal everyday. Also, it shows a way of how to rule a country for leaders. In ruling countries, it proposes that if the leader can make his people have nothing to do, he would be the best leader. In philosophy side, it says everything has two extreme sides, and whenever we reach one of the extremes, it will go to the opposite way.
This book changed Chinese people’s mind for 2,000 years. The things were taught from the book was used by the emperors in every dynasty.

reflection on Ch. 2 of Tao

Everything or every concept we can find, just because they have comparisons. Just like the beauty and ugly. But there has no extreme in any kind of concept, because once it reached its extreme, the next thing had to happen would be going to the opposite side. Because nothing can least forever, a wise man will just watch the change of everything without creating anything. A wise man will do things without he’s own emotion. A wise man won’t hold the success he made forever; he will leave it where he made it. Because a wise man don’t care the successes he made, without comparison, there has no fail in he’s life.

different point views

first person: it was a Wednesday, everything looks so beautiful after I knew my SAT score was over 2 thousand. Life became so bright and smooth after this. I could not stop myself from jumping around in my room because i was so happy.
Third person limited: it was a Wednesday, he started to acting crazy after he searched something on the internet. obviously, he was really happy about what he found.10 minutes later, he told me he got above 2000 on SAT, and then, he rushed out of the room.
third person omniscent: it was a Wednesday, he was so happy because he just found his SAT score was above 2000. for him, life became much easier, and everything is so bright. the happiness filled in the spaces around him. he couldn't stop from jumping around. after he told his roommate about his SAT score, he rushed out of the room.

Creative Writing on Metamorphsis

Chapter 1-
it was a sunday, everything seems great under the halo of the sunday. Birds started singing at beginning of the day, grass shined under the sunlight. Peace surrounded everything, but not Eric's life. he woke up even earlier than the birds and sunlight, just because he has to feed his whole family on his own. for this he works without night and holidays. he was enjoying this life because it makes him feel great by being useful for whold family. but at this time, he felt bored. he was working like this for such a long time, and now, he started to think about having a rest. but instead, he was still working. during the day, he was think about this question all the time other than working. when he got back to home, he went to his room directly and then lay on bed. in his mind, he complained about the busy life he had, and then, he fall asleep.

Chapter 2-
Monday, just one night after this, he transformed into a Folivora. actually it wasn't him noticed the change first, it was his sister. in the morning he only felt it was hard to woke up and fall asleep again, untill his sister came in it still looks like a peaceful day. when she came in, she thought this Folivora was Eric's new pet. she tried to woke him up and play with it but nothing happened, because he was a Folivora. he just slept like this for two days, his family started to be stressed because he hasn't connect to his family for two days. and now, it is even hard for him to life his arm up into the air, because he is a Folivora.

Chapter 3-
his family called police and as we know it doesn't work. nobody can found him and he just disappeared in the world for everybody else. his famliy fed him as a new pat everyday. after he transformed he's father has to go back to work and his sister didnt go to a art college as she wants, instead, she went to a business school. how about Eric? all he has to do was just lay on the bed and so nothing. someone might think this is a great life we can have, but for Eric, he died for this. he answer the question why he chose to die in haven:  when God say to him: i gave the life you want, but why do you still choose to die? he answered: this true i don't want a busy life like that, but i am a human, i can never do nothing like that. life can be even more boring by doing nothing.

Time: started with the revolution of the Bolshevik and became an policy of the country at 1932
Characteristices: is the basic method of Sovied literature and literary ariticism. it demands of the artist the truthful, historically concrete representation of reality in its revolutionary development. more over, the truthfulness and historical concreteness of the artistic representation of reality must be linked with the task of ideological transformation and education of workers in teh spirit of socialism.
Representatives: Fyodor Gladkov, Nikolai Ostrovsky.

the national eating disorder

    it's hard to say that our diet is disordered, because as we know, we are eating junk food orderly everyday. bamburgers, frieds, and coke.
    but, what dose the national eating disorder really means? is that means we are eating nothing we shouldn't eat? is that means we use breakfest as lunch or dinner? no. national eating disorder means even though we human is a kind of omnivorous animal but we are actually eating one thing in stead of other food. in the book omnivorous dilamma it says that actully we are eating corn all the time. for example, look at the food in your dishes, what do you have? mushed potato, pork or chicken, and corn? oh yes, corn is corn, that's true, but is other food really itself? let's talk about pork, in most of the farm, pigs are always fed by corn, so it's a kind of corn actually. now, how about potato? same thing, farmers are using corn as fertilizer, so, potato is actually corn too!
    you might can say that: we are in america, and we have a lot of choices about food, so some how we mast can avoid the corn. so, let us have a look at our diet, Mcdonald's? KFC? (didn't finish)

personal statement

my name is Eric Yuan, or actually Lechen Yuan. i choose not to use that name just because most people pronounce it in a wrong way and that sonuds just like "lecher" and of course i don' like that.

well, this is the second and a half year of being in this school.this is the first time that i went so far by myself for this long time. in this time, i think that my english improved a lot, especially on oral part. in order to improve more about my english, i think i really want to join the honor progress of american literature. and i think i can do it. i bet.
